Question re: Canadian ammo purchases..
 

Here in Ontario, box stores like Can. Tire & WM record your PAL info when buying ammo. I refuse to allow them to, and sometimes they sell it and sometimes they won't.

Does anyone know if this is even legal? :s10: I am quite certain it is not a requirement by law, but am intested in knowing if they are overstepping their requirements.

Why would anybody want to be on a list that is accessable to 16 year old part-timers that shows you have a shtiload of guns and ammo??:confused_ma:

I haven't been up in your neck of the woods in some time but I'm assuming it would be breaking some laws to transport from up state into Canada?

Last time I crossed the boarder from MI to ONT, Dudley Do-Right grilled me like crazy about whether I had guns or ammo in my vehicle. Aparently, they weren't satisfied with my answers...pulled me over, and tore the trunk apart. Didn't find anything, because I knew how serious the penalties are for bringing ammo into Canada; my wife and I had both combed the car before leaving home, making sure we hadn't missed anything.
